Winter hides gallery

Winter Photography Hides Gallery

The raptor hide was still busy in Febuary, and the young Hungarian wildlife photographer Levente Szekeres took some amazing photos of a Greater Spotted Eagle (Aquila clanga).
2014 is our second winter photo season in Hungary and here are the first images taken by Michael Linehan who spent a week in our bird photo hides in January. We have 3 drinking pools in 3 different habitats, which are regularly used in winter, as well as a raptor feeding station and mobile hides. The weather was very nice throughout the week providing beautiful photo opportunities with snow and sunshine.
From 2013's winter on we are experimenting with 3 feeding stations aiming to support (and photograph) wintering Eastern Imperial Eagles, White tailed Eagles, and we also hope that after our first winter hide the new ones will be also visited regularly by Golden Jackals, as their presence is recently proved in this areas. These photos below were taken during our bird photography tours proving the excellent photo opportunities also in wintertime.
Our raptor and woodland feeding bird photography hides were busy during the winter. The raptor feeding hides provided great photo opportunities of White-tailed Eagle, Rough-legged and Common Buzzard, Raven, other corvids and even Yellowhammer. Photographs by Palánkai Zsolt
The woodland feeders attracted Sparrowhawk, Hawfinch, Great Spotted and Middle Spotted Woodpeckers, plus of course Great and Blue Tits and the commoner winter finches. Photographs by Ray Tipper
Photographs by Molnár Péter and Puskás József (Rough-legged and Common Buzzard fighting)
